The Walking Dead episode 911 recap: Bounty

Daryl opens the gates and brings Lydia out. Alpha approaches with Luke and Alden. Lydia glares at her mother but says nothing. The others watch from the gates as the exchange takes place.

Alpha nods at Lydia, who approaches. Luke and Alden are released and they meet Enid and Yumiko. Lydia thanks her mother for coming to get her, but Alpha hits her (not a slap, a hit) and tells her that she calls her Alpha like everyone else. Then she hugs her daughter and they fall back. Daryl watches them leave.

The theater is getting crowded as walkers descend on the group. Jerry says he dropped the bulb in the middle of the theater. Ezekiel knows that they’re out of time, but Carol pulls the Queen card and says they should go in for what they came for. They go inside and start the siege. Carol smiles happily when she sees Jerry and Ezekiel taking out walkers.

Later, Ezekiel thanks his wife for helping out. She agrees that it was worth it, but she always wants him to be safe. They have all lost a lot and she’s missing Henry. Ezekiel reminds her that Henry is safe with Daryl. And Ezekiel is there with her. And they got the bulb. He also agrees that it’s a good idea to be ready for anything, and he hopes they’re done losing for a while. As they pass a street sign, there’s a symbol painted on the sign.

Back at Hilltop, Henry practices with his staff and when Daryl walks by he says he understands why they had to give Lydia up, but it’s not right. Daryl agrees, but it happens that way sometimes. Henry says he’s seen the scars on Daryl’s back and knows that he’s aware of what they sent her back to. Henry says he remembers what Daryl did back in Alexandria “when things went bad there.” Daryl shakes his head. Henry really doesn’t know.

Ezekiel and Carol prepare the contract while Jerry fires up the projector. The King and Queen are bathed in the glow of the light and they kiss.

Back at Hilltop, Magna’s group enjoys a drink with Luke. Alden and Enid get it on. Tammy Rose and Earl have the baby and they look very happy. Jerry rocks his baby while Nabila sleeps. Henry can’t sleep and he gets up from the bed.

Addie finds Daryl and hands him a note she found in Henry’s room.

A short while later Daryl leaves the main house, ready for action. Connie is outside writing something and she sees him. She asks, through a written note, where he’s going. He shows her the letter from Henry that says “Couldn’t live with it. Went to find Lydia.” Connie says she’s going with him. He refuses, but then asks why. She says she can’t live with it either. Together, they leave to find Henry.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9pm on AMC.
