Overall impression of TWD 912

This week’s episode of The Walking Dead isn’t quite the action-packed episode fans have been waiting for after some dialogue-heavy installments lately, but there was plenty of developments in the story of the fair, Negan’s imprisonment, as well as the interactions with the Whisperers.

There was a lot to like from this episode 912. Shared scenes between Michonne and Negan, Gabriel and Eugene, as well as Lydia and Alpha were the real highlights. However, the introduction of Beta is something that should not be overlooked since he is bound to be a massive pain in the survivor’s sides.

Every time viewers get another peek into how the Whisperers survive, things get more and more disturbing. Whether it is sacrificing a baby, murdering those who challenge the leadership, or seeing how those walker masks are made, living among the dead gets intense.

This was another good episode for season 9, but this one wasn’t quite great. However, it did everything it was supposed to do by hitting the notes and setting up what should be one of the most dangerous and explosive confrontations in the history of the franchise.

Great cinematics, excellent acting, and a solid script made it an enjoyable episode although not one that offers a lot of replay value.

EPISODE GRADE: 7.6/10
