Which character from The Walking Dead was impressive enough to be named the Most Valuable Person from season 9 episode 12 titled “Guardians” on Mar. 3?

The Walking Dead once again kept viewers glued to their television sets with season 9 episode 12 titled “Guardians” on Mar. 3, 2019 with another installment of the story involving the Whisperers, the Hilltop, and Alexandria.

With Henry basically starting a war by going after Lydia, Daryl kept his promise to Carol to look after him. With Dog and Connie in tow, they went to get him back. In addition, Alexandria was dealing with a struggle in leadership and trying to decide which direction to go with the fair approaching and allies needing help.

After some consideration, an MVP was named from episode 912 of The Walking Dead…although this one is going to be a little controversial.

The MVP from TWD 912 is Judith Grimes!

Considering everything that happened with Henry, Daryl, and the Whisperers, it is a bit outside the box to pick a character with a small amount of screen time. Nevertheless, it was what Judith did with her scenes that earned her the award.

Michonne was pretty dead set against the fair and her lack of communication and trade with other communities has the Kingdom and the Hilltop both struggling to make ends meet. Still, she kept her distance because of something that tore them apart in the past.

After failed attempts by Father Gabriel, the council at Alexandria, and even Negan, Michonne was still standing firm in her beliefs. It took an observation as well as a conversation with Judith for it all to sink in.

Judith not only gave a convincing argument that people can change but she also hammered home to Michonne that she needs to start listening to others rather than making her mind up before hearing people out.

This one conversation will not only open up Alexandria to trade at the fair but hopefully open up conversations between the communities as well with hopes it can lead to the charter being signed by the communities.

Several options exist for the MVP from season 9 episode 12, including Lydia for protecting the Hilltop and Henry to her mother, Daryl and Connie for their efforts in tracking Henry and infiltrating the camp of Whisperers, and Father Gabriel for standing up to Michonne and listening to Eugene’s research on Rosita.
