1. A Cut Above

Without a doubt, the most shocking moment from this episode came from Alpha. However, since it was the leader of the Whisperers who we’ve already do some pretty crazy things, perhaps viewers should come to expect WTF moments from her.

When challenged for leadership, Alpha used her wits to misdirect the situation and put Helen in the spotlight rather than Sean, who initially stepped up. Without flinching, Alpha used a wire to cut Helen’s neck from behind and completely severed it from her body.

Alpha then handed the head to Sean, who was told to stop crying about Helen’s death because it shows weakness. His restraint didn’t last long anyway since Alpha stabbed him in the side and killed him as well.

Later on, the two bodies were pulled out of the Whisperers camp and given to the walkers to eat. It was an unceremonious way for two people to die, but at least the rest of the group now knows not to challenge Alpha.
