4. Judith, the voice of reason

Michonne had a room full of people telling her that she wasn’t listening to the people of Alexandria and making decisions for the entire group based on what she believes is best for the community. She continued to stand firm against Negan when at his cell…until she saw Judith listening in.

It took the words of Judith to convince Michonne that she needed to be more open and listen to everyone and convince her that people can change if given the opportunity. An argument in their house about Negan was what changed her mind about the fair, easing up for the second time since the time jump (the first was bringing Magna’s group to the Hilltop).

What could be worse is if this leniency from Michonne leads to another disaster for Alexandria. The situation between the communities is already bad, but anything that causes a bigger divide could leave her wanting to completely isolate her people from the world.

Everyone looks up to Michonne, so it’s good she’s opening her ears to the issues and ideas of people now. It’s just a shame it took so much from her own people, Negan, and Judith to get her to this point.
