The Walking Dead panelists share their predictions for episode 913

The Walking Dead season 9 is coming to an end quickly. Our panelists predict that things are going to escalate in “Chokepoint”, which is episode 913.

It’s hard to believe The Walking Dead season 9 has just a couple of episodes left isn’t it? So many critics predicted the show would wither and die without Rick Grimes and while Rick’s absence will always be felt the show has delivered next level storytelling that has kept fans on the edge of their seats with the arrival of Alpha and the Whisperers.

Now that Daryl and Connie have rescued Henry and taken Lydia with them what will they face as they try to find a safe place or a safe route back to the Hilltop? Is any route safe when the Whisperers could be mixed in among the dead?

One thing is for sure- Alpha is not going to take this well. Not because she has any real feelings for Lydia but because the attack on the camp and Daryl taking Alpha’s prisoner and her daughter makes her look like a weak leader. And if she looks weak she will have to fight off more challengers who question her leadership or may want to take the Alpha title for themselves. Alpha said they were animals, and pack animals won’t hesitate to turn on one of their own when that one can no longer lead.

So Alpha is almost certainly going to try and get Lydia back and exact some kind of retribution for the attack that Daryl and Connie just pulled off. There will be conflict most definitely. Here’s what our panelists are predicting will happen in The Walking Dead 913 “Chokepoint”:

The intensity is really ramping up- what are your predictions for 913 “Chokepoint”?

Sonya says:

"I think Alpha’s retribution is going to be horrific. She offered them the chance to make the trade peacefully and then Henry set off a chain of events that she has to respond to and she has to make a pretty big show of force to keep her position. I think that this lays the groundwork for that big moment from the comic that the comic readers suspect is coming soon. Whether that moment happens or not I think Daryl just set off the Whisperer War."

Sara says:

"I am so excited to see Daryl and Beta go head to head! Those are two of the strongest characters on both sides of the fence so this episode isn’t going to be anything short of amazing! I’m also excited to see if any other characters show up to help Daryl in his Beta takedown."

Jeffrey says:

"I’m expecting the Kingdom to finally find out about the Whisperers. They may need to re-evaluate if holding the Fair right now is worth the risk. I’m also expecting to see some more interesting back and forth between Daryl and Connie. I think the moment myself and most people have been anticipating the most is the showdown between Daryl and Beta. That is sure to be a huge moment in TWD history!"

Sarabeth says:

"The Kingdom is the only place that doesn’t have any idea what happened to Jesus or a clue about the Whisperers. I think they’re about to find out, and it’s not going to be pretty."
