The bad things from TWD 913

  1. Screwing over the Hilltop by breaking the deal. Daryl says they can’t go back to the Hilltop because of the deal Tara made with the Whisperers. However, Tara did very little talking when it came to dealing with Alpha. This was Daryl’s call and his decision will likely have horrible ramifications of the group.
  2. “We are the Highwaymen!” As if having the Whisperers weren’t enough, adding a new threat to the survivors doesn’t feel too necessary to the group and it’s hard to focus on anything else going on after what fans saw from Alpha the last few weeks. Good thing they were convinced to be friends and not enemies.
  3. Making Alpha look weak. We know the leader of the Whisperers can’t look weak. Her position and her followers need to know they count on her to keep them safe. Lydia was right to say that her mom won’t just brush off what Daryl and Connie did and she will seek revenge for those actions…if Beta doesn’t do it first.
  4. “We have friends…she doesn’t.” I don’t know about what Connie is thinking, but I’d say what Henry was willing to do for Lydia would definitely put him AT LEAST in the “friend” category and possibly more. She underestimates how people feel about Alpha’s daughter and abandoning her would leave them in the same position, with Henry likely not accepting that outcome.
  5. If you don’t see them die… One thing fans of this show know, it is that if a character isn’t shown as being dead that you can’t assume their time on the show is over. Beta sure made a thud after he fell, and Daryl seemed confident he won by spitting down the hole, but we all know he’ll be back at full strength soon.
