Lydia and Henry fortify the windows. Henry gives her a spear he made from a broom handle. She notes that his stick doesn’t have a point but he says he doesn’t need one. She’s not ready to kill her own people. She’s not there yet. But she’s open to him killing them. He says he’ll try not to kill them, but that’s the best he can do. She wants to know why he’s doing this because she can’t understand why he would give up so much. What he doesn’t understand is that he made her mother look weak, and that means that she won’t give up anymore. Daryl walks in on their conversation in time to hear Lydia ask why Henry offered to go with her. He admits he cares about her, and they kiss. That’s when Daryl interrupts them. Daryl watches them leave.

Earl looks out as Magna and Yumiko report that walkers are coming. Tara leads a group to fight them while Earl gets the horses ready. Earl goes down as the wagon is surrounded. She puts the baby in a chest with holes in the top so that the walkers are attracted to its cries while she goes to save Earl. Suddenly a group rides in. It’s the Highwaymen. They’re there to help protect the roads and they jump into action as Tara takes in this new information.

Henry looks down from their vantage point. Lydia is on the opposite side of the balcony, and when they look at each other they smile like two teens in love. Lydia spots walkers on the way, and she says they’re coming.

Beta is there with his team and a herd of walkers. Daryl shoots one of the walkers and Beta looks up to see him. The two men exchange looks. Downstairs the herd pushes through the barricade while they hide in their bunker. Beta orders half the group in one stairwell so that there is no way out.

Daryl takes Lydia with him. She kisses Henry before she leaves.

Beta realizes that a trap has been laid. The Whisperers climb over the barricade and leave the herd behind.

Daryl locks Lydia in a closet with Dog since she won’t fight. She’s safer that way. She thanks him before he leaves.
