3. Protect ya neck

One of the best parts of this episode was when it came down to a one-on-one fight between Daryl and Beta. The two had a great fight with the big man of the Whisperers getting the better of the exchange in many aspects thanks to his size and power.

One scary moment came when the fight ended up near a table saw. Beta took control of the situation and forced Daryl’s neck down to the blade, demanding to know what they did with Lydia so he could return her to Alpha.

Last week’s biggest WTF moment also involved a sharp object and a neck, so it’s a good thing the situation didn’t play out in a similar way. It would have been a horrific way to say goodbye to the show’s longest-tenured character.

Still, it’s strange to see a one-on-one fight where Daryl didn’t have a significant advantage. In the past, he has seemed unbeatable but now it appears as though he has truly met his match in the form of Beta.
