50 States and DC ranked by Zombie Apocalypse survivability
23. Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania has quite a few options for survivors, and it all depends on where you end up. For those survivors in the Philadelphia area places like Independence Hall would be a great place to take shelter. Old buildings are made better, and they usually do well to preserve heat and cool during the winter and summer. You can also make fires inside the big open entryways if you need to.
For anyone in Pittsburgh, Heinz Field Stadium is the place to go. Think about the early days of Fear the Walking Dead season 4 when the group took shelter in a ballpark. The field is a great place to sow crops and raise livestock. It’s also the kind of place where you can band together with other people who can help you protect the perimeter from both zombies and people who come along to take your shelter away from you.
Gettysburg is a historic location, which means buildings that have been around for generations. Finding a place that has weathered the years means it is more likely to continue to remain standing, especially if it’s a brick house. And if you need to get away completely, the Pocono Mountains are a great place to hide.
