Zombies might not have issues in altitude, but if you’re not used to it you might have trouble running away from them so be advised that if you’re visiting the Mile High City when the zombies arrive, you’ll need to get used to the altitude first.

If you’re near Denver during the apocalypse, head to the Stanley Hotel. If that name doesn’t ring a bell, you might know it as the hotel that inspired the Stephen King movie The Shining. In fact, The Shining was filmed there. Sure, it might be a little creepy to stay there during the apocalypse, but what better place to be? You have everything you need there, and it’s a great place for a bunch of people to hole up and try to survive. (And if you can rig some electricity the Stanley Hotel plays The Shining on an endless loop on a special channel on all televisions at the hotel)

If you’re not near Denver then there are plenty of places to seek shelter. Head to Colorado Springs. The Air Force Academy will be well fortified and if you aren’t in a position to protect yourself, go where there are people who have airplanes and know their way around a battle.
