50 States and DC ranked by Zombie Apocalypse survivability
1. Montana
Glacier National Park. Lake McDonald. Logan Pass. These are all part of the fantastic open space that you’ll find in Montana. You can pass through GLacier all the way into Canada, and even though the zombies have probably invaded Canada as well, it’s nice knowing that you can head north if need be.
Why does a place like Montana make the top of the survivability list? For the nature lovers who know how to live off the land, it’s the best place to be during a zombie apocalypse because there is plenty of food to be found if you know how to catch it. The cities aren’t too close together so you won’t find massive herds of zombies milling about, simply because there aren’t many people around to begin with.
Need a quick way to move around? If you’re lucky enough to have a working car then the Going-to-the-Sun Road will give you a way to get around when the weather permits.
If you can build yourself a shelter that affords plenty of defensible space, and if you know how to hunt and grow crops, and if you have weapons that can be reused (like spears and bats), you’ll find that you have everything you need to get by. Montana has it all to survive a zombie apocolypse.
