The good stuff

  1. Looking through the rubble. A flashback showing a pregnant Michonne looking at the water near where the bridge exploded was kind of sad, yet shed a little light on why she closed herself off and Daryl’s decision to live by himself in the woods. Rick’s iconic gun was found and put in in a box decorated by Judith…just in case.
  2. Wanting to help. It’s weird to hear Judith want to help so much while Daryl is actually helping but doesn’t want to admit it. Both are definitely helping people all the time, but Daryl won’t admit to having a hero-type role in the community despite his nature to take on that role when presented.
  3. Cleaning up and moving on. It was nice of Michonne to allow Lydia into Alexandria while they took care of Henry’s wound. And, just like they promised, they were gone as soon as they were able to leave. It eliminates a little of the risk for Alexandria, but there is still a chance the Whisperers know where the community is now.
  4. Negan knows best. It’s weird seeing Negan speaking so frankly and openly, but his words to Michonne were true. She needs to listen to Judith more and be able to trust her with knowledge of the past so she understands the struggle Michonne is going through.
  5. Finally talking about what is happening. All it took was a discussion about the past, the present, and the future to clear up everything that was happening and had happened. It put Judith and Michonne back on the same page and connected the family back together again, despite Rick and Carl no longer being there.
