Henry shows his scar to Lydia. She likes it, because it’s a reminder of what he did for her. Michonne walks up and says she needs to speak with Lydia alone. As he walks away, Henry thanks Michonne for letting people go to the fair. She tells him that if she had known about them, she wouldn’t have allowed it.

Michonne asks Lydia if she cares about Henry. She does. Michonne does too. They sit down and Michonne tells Lydia that she has done a lot to protect her people. She does what needs to be done and she’s ok with that. It would be better if all she had to worry about was her life. If she could leave and take all the risk with her. That would be easy. She tells Lydia to think about that. She gets up and leaves, letting that sink in.

Daryl and Judith sit by the water. She asks Daryl if the Hilltop is in danger. He confesses that it could be. She notes that he went off to find Lydia anyway. He says he went off in search of Henry, but Judith points out that he brought Lydia to Alexandria. She knows he wants to help. She wants to help, too, and Daryl knows that. She asks if Daryl would stay if Michonne said it was ok, but he agrees that it’s a better idea for them to move on. Michonne is just trying to keep her family safe, but Judith says it should be about more than that. She has heard the stories about All Out War and how they won. Daryl doubts she heard all of them. Judith wonders what her dad would do. “Yeah, that’s what I thought,” she says when Daryl looks away.

In the past. Siddiq, Gabriel and Eugene play the quiet game with the children. Michonne and Aaron look at them gathered around the campfire and she wishes Rick could see it. Aaron says he can. In the kitchen Michonne tells Jocelyn that she had no idea how serious she was about her kids being able to hunt. Jocelyn says that they’re better equipped to deal with the apocalypse than she is and they’re quite skilled at hunting. She tells Michonne, who keeps rubbing her stomach, to enjoy the break before going back out to look for her man. She refers to their past together, and how Michonne was as tenacious then as she is now. Michonne is worried she’ll never find Rick, but Jocelyn tells her she can’t give up. Michonne says they deserve to know. Jocelyn says Michonne found her after 15 years, she’ll find her man.

In the present the group heads out in darkness. Aaron reminds Daryl of when he told him he’d make a good father. It was back during the bridge. At least he got to skip the exploding diapers. Michonne hugs Daryl and sees Judith standing there. Michonne tells Daryl she’s upset at her for not understanding her. Once they’re gone, Michonne looks at the manhole cover.

Back in the past Michonne and the group go to Jocelyn’s house, where there had been a sleepover. Everyone is gone. They discover that the pantry and infirmary have been raided and a man is dead, with tiny bloody footprints leading to the manhole.

In the present RJ asks for more food but Judith isn’t hungry. She asks to go to her room, thanking her mom.

Later, Michonne sits up in bed, her scar visible. She goes to Judith’s room, telling her that she knows she’s upset and she wants to talk. She wants to tell her something. When she opens the door, though, Judith isn’t there.
