The Walking Dead panel predictions for episode 915: The Calm Before

Our panel members share their predictions for The Walking Dead episode that fans are already talking about “The Calm Before”.

Speculation about what is coming in The Walking Dead 915 “The Calm Before” is already running rampant on social media because there will be another faceoff with Alpha, Beta, and the Whisperers this week and the chances are good that not everyone will walk away from that alive.

In the preview video for “The Calm Before” it looks like the fair does happen and the communities come together, but there’s also an intense scene with Alpha, Beta, and the survivors which indicates there will be some conflict if not death in this episode as well.

This week’s episode lines up with an iconic moment from The Walking Dead comics where there is a shocking and devasting incident following a celebration like the fair, so fans who read the comics are on edge wondering if the show will divert from the comics at this point or mimic the story arc that they are familiar with. Sometimes the show follows the story in the comic but other times it remixes the story arcs and characters so there’s no guarantee that the moment comic fans are waiting for happens in the show, although it looks likely.

Anytime Alpha makes an appearance there’s a 50/50 chance of someone getting killed. So what will happen in The Walking Dead “The Calm Before”? Here’s some speculation from our panel, except for Sarabeth Pollock, who has already seen the episode so is abstaining from speculating about it.

The Calm Before?

It’s been rumored that there will be some big deaths in 915 and the preview showed that there will be another intense encounter with the Whisperers. What are your predictions for what will happen in 915?

Sonya says:

"I think that the show will stick close to the comic on this one and there will be some deaths. Alpha is not playing around and now she’s going to want to make an example of what happens when you cross her so I think the survivors are going to suffer a lot for Henry’s actions."

Sara says:

"Big deaths are definitely are on the horizon since the Whisperers have now told Alpha that Lydia is headed to the Kingdom. From the previews we saw, all I can think is that survivors do not have the upper hand here. Alpha is going to get her revenge. I’m completely nervous and scared. More than I was when Negan showed up. I think this episode may just be one of the most intense episodes of The Walking Dead yet!"

Jeffrey says:

"I’m thinking we are about to witness the formal declaration of war from the Whisperers against the united communities. Alpha is someone who is cold and calculated, so I expect nothing less than a full show of just how powerful and organized the Whisperers are. The fact that the Fair is about to begin, and people from all of the communities are together in one place is a worrying fact. Negan’s lineup kicked off the war between the communities and the Saviors, so I’m expecting a Whisperer version of this. We’ve already lost Jesus to these people, but I definitely don’t think he will be the last casualty of this conflict. I’m thinking we are about to say farewell to a significant number of our cast of characters in bloody fashion."

Sarabeth says:

"My lips are sealed…but it’s going to be a big episode."
