The bad things

  1. We’re not even to the opening credits! The show has just started and Alpha has already started killing. A couple named Hilde and Miles who were celebrating their anniversary went for a trip outside the walls and at least the wife won’t be returning thanks to The Whisperers. This was a bad omen for the survivors from the very start!
  2. Hey, Jealousy. One of the most interesting parts of the comics is how Lydia gets possessive of Carl and struggles to have the confidence to believe in herself. It appears as though that isn’t going to change since Addy and Henry got under Lydia’s skin and caused her to get upset.
  3. Surrounded. You’d think a group made up of Carol, Michonne, Daryl, and others would be more than capable of defeating any group, but the Whisperers aren’t just any group. Daryl’s face when he heard Beta’s voice spoke volumes to the situation as well. Tiring them out with walkers was a great plan and one I’m sure Alpha’s group has used numerous times.
  4. That sneaky Alpha! Cutting off the hair of the woman in the opening credits allowed Alpha to seamlessly infiltrate the fair and get a first-hand view of the festivities as well as gather information on the communities and their techniques. She even walked arm-in-arm with the King as Debbie! It’s an awful situation for the people.
  5. The mega-herd. The Whisperers have been gathering walkers in the event they need to unleash a massive threat on a group and now they have a target worthy of such a punishment. With borders designated and another threat revealed, the survivors will need to be extra safe.
  6. That northern border! It goes without saying that losing so many great characters in this episode is the ultimate negative. I loved Tara and Enid on the program and was really interested in watching Henry and Lydia grow up together. Heck, even Ozzy, Addy, Alek, DJ, Frankie, Tammy Rose, and Rodney will be missed.
