Kelly is anxious to start looking for Connie, but Magna says she doesn’t have to worry: Michonne’s wagon has arrived. There are joyful reunions between Kelly and Connie and Carol and Henry. Carol tells her son not to run away again while Lydia watches their tearful reunion. Carol moves to Daryl and hugs him, too.

Ezekiel sees Michonne and goes to greet her. She says she was in the neighborhood. Carol sees Judith and is amazed to see her. Judith says that she has been drawing pictures of them since she was little. Carol and the King. She’s amazed by Carol’s long hair.

Tara walks up and sees that Lydia is there. That wasn’t part of the plan. Michonne says they need to meet with all of the leaders.

Inside the theater the leaders have assembled with Henry, Lydia and Judith in the audience. Michonne begins by saying that she never stopped caring for anyone up there and she’s there now. They’re all together. Gabriel says that the Council took a vote and Alexandria will offer asylum to Lydia, who thanks them. Tara points out that if Alpha retaliates it will be against Hilltop. Michonne agrees, noting that she told Lydia to run away and she didn’t. But she als knows why Rick didn’t trust her when she showed up, and why they didn’t trust Tara when she rolled up with the Governor. Rachel from Oceanside says she was going to kill Tara on site when she washed up. Lydia can’t control where she came from, but she can choose where she wants to be. Tara agrees.

Tara says that she lost fighters, so they all decide to send fighters to help. Michonne proposes a mutual protection pact so that they know that if one community is attacked, it’s an attack on all of them. They all agree. And King Ezekiel has just the thing to seal the deal. He brings out the charter, which blows Michonne’s mind. Tara admits to taking a few things when she left. She apologizes for how it went down, and so does Michonne. They hold hands.

Ezekiel signs first. (“John Hancock, eat your heart out.”) He passes it to Carol, who signs Queen Carol. The rest of the group signs, with Michonne giving the pen to Gabriel to represent Alexandria.

Outside the people are having a great time. Henry gives Lydia the tour. They see artists, and Enid giving CPR lessons. Tammy Rose is there with the baby and Judith sinks Eugene in the dunk tank. Lydia asks where they will put all of the stuff. She is so shocked at it all. They see Daryl unloading his bike and she thinks she should be going too. Henry blames himself. Ezekiel walks up and says they’re not going anywhere. He expects to see them at the movie later, which surprises Lydia. Carol tells her she has a lot to get used to. They walk away and Ezekiel puts his arm around Carol, telling her that their son is taking a date to the movies. She has a big smile on her face. She tells him that everything they said sounds impossible, in a good way.
