The Walking Dead fans didn’t really get the chance to know Hilde and Miles, who showed up at the Hilltop on their anniversary a few years back. Hilde made the Hilltop’s signature wooden coins after making one wooden coin with a carved H on it as anniversary gift for Miles because it was their 5 year anniversary. Something made from wood is a traditional 5 year anniversary gift. It was nice to get the origin story of the coins and it was nice that it was a happy story.
Hilde and Miles were going to celebrate their anniversary this year at the fair but they never made it to the Kingdom. Along the way Alpha attacked them and killed them. She scalped Hilde, taking her long blonde hair and her clothes and sunhat. Wearing Hilde’s clothes and hair she snuck into the Kingdom to look for Lydia. She looked all over the fair and even introduced herself to King Ezekiel as Debbie, from Alexandria.
Even though not that much was known about Hilde and Miles Hilde’s contribution to the Hilltop’s story in the form of her coins will live on, as will their infamous death at the hands of the chilling Alpha. Farewell Miles and Hilde.
