Ozzy and Alek, we barely knew you. Even though you rode into our lives just one episode ago you seemed like decent guys and it’s a shame that we won’t get to have your help patrolling the roads and keeping people safe anymore.
It feels like a bit of a letdown to introduce the Highwaymen just to kill off the leader Ozzy and his second in command one episode later. We never really got to know anything about this enigmatic group and their unusual style. They were obviously well-read but also had fighting skills and seemed like they could be very useful to the communities who now must travel more than a day’s journey to get between the communities. A security force of Highwaymen could be a great way to make sure that people can travel safely all the time, not just for the fair.
Hopefully the next person to wear the black Stetson of leadership in the Highwaymen will be committed to helping the communities bring Alpha and the Whisperers down because Alpha killed their friends and leaders. The communities are going to need all the help that they can get because Alpha and Beta are going to be easily defeated.
