Enid’s loss is a big one for the Hilltop. She’s their doctor and an important part of the structure of the community. But she’s also one of the vital people that makes the Hilltop a real community. Enid went through a rough patch and stumbled a little but with guidance from Glenn and Maggie found her path. When Glenn was murdered looking after Maggie and the baby become her mission.
After losing her parents, and then Glenn, and then Carl Enid managed to JSS and find her role at the Hilltop as the community’s medical provider.
She and Alden were happy and looking forward to many years together. But as always on The Walking Dead just when things look like the brightest disaster strikes. Alden was taken prisoner by Alpha and amazingly released unharmed. But now Enid has become Alpha’s victim.
Enid has been on the show since season 5, which is a long time for anyone to survive on The Walking Dead. It’s too bad that we didn’t get to see her accomplish more in life after we all watched her grow up and grow into the responsible, caring, empathetic, loyal, and loving woman she was at the time of her death.
Farewell Enid. May you find peace with Carl, Glenn, and your parents. Be sure to tell Glenn how adorable and how loved his son Hershel Rhee is.
