4. An ocean of walkers

Alpha still wanted to show the survivors that she wasn’t taking what Daryl and Connie did lightly. She said she was honoring the agreement they made at the Hilltop, but the act of unleashing the undead on a camp of the Whisperers nullified that deal.

Familiar with Daryl from their conversation at the gates of the Hilltop, Alpha took him aside to talk about how things will work now. She explains that there will be a punishment for entering their territory from here on out and wanted to make sure the survivors knew she was serious.

Directing Daryl to look down, he saw a massive horde of the undead gathered in one spot. Alpha has been storing them up to unleash them on a target if they need to. The number of walkers should be enough to not only destroy a settlement but likely kill many people as well.

Daryl will have to explain this threat to the group to show that the Whisperers are serious about being left alone now that Lydia is officially a part of a group without her mother. But Alpha wasn’t done showing her power yet.
