The Walking Dead, The Calm Before: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
15) Tara’s death now leaves only Carol, Daryl, Michonne, Judith, Eugene, Rosita, and Father Gabriel remaining of Rick group’s, which left Georgia with him.
16) Tara’s death also makes her the third Hilltop leader to die this season, behind Jesus and Gregory.
17) Tara, Enid, and Henry’s deaths also render all three’s blood families extinct.
18) Enid’s death also means that, now, only Aaron, Scott, Barbara, and Kyle are left of the named Alexandrians from before Rick’s group arrived.
19) Henry is now the fourth child Carol has lost to the apocalypse one way or another, after Lizzie, Mika, and Sophia.
20) D.J.’s death now leaves Laura as the last named reformed Savior alive. I’m not counting Dwight or Alden (As both abandoned or betrayed The Saviors before the war ended), any of Negan’s “ex-wives”(As they weren’t “Saviors”), or Negan (Who is clearly not considered “reformed” in the way Laura or D.J. were).
21) The way The Piked were positioned, prior to their execution, is reminiscent of how Rick’s group was positioned before Negan killed Abraham and Glenn in the Season Six Finale/Season Seven Premiere, “Last Day On Earth” and “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be”, respectively.
And, with that, we’ve concluded our Things To Note for this week. Was there anything you missed? Was there anything I missed? Feel free to throw in your things to note in the comments!
