The interesting stuff from TWD 916

  1. Snow has arrived! It’s a bit odd seeing an actual winter with snow and ice, but it is now officially a thing and it feels exceptionally out of place. Bundled up with heavy coats, hats, and scarves is a big departure from sweating in the Georgia swamps where survivors were covered in sweat and bugs.
  2. Taking Sanctuary from the storm. It’s a bit ironic that the survivors went to the Sanctuary to take refuge from the weather. A place known for brutality and chaos to be used as a safe haven to warm up and come up with the plan is another strange feeling, one the Kingdom and Michonne were forced to entertain.
  3. That’s entertainment! Negan made the most of his time out of his cell by trying to rile up Gabriel, Eugene, Siddiq, and Rosita for his own entertainment. Honestly, who can blame him? After being locked up so long and hearing all the gossip around Alexandria, he’s gotta be starving for some kind of way to stay amused around those who keep him locked up.
  4. Frozen walkers. Seeing statuesque walkers frozen by the cold was quite interesting. Between Daryl shooting one with his crossbow and Michonne slicing the heads off the others, it was clear the undead can’t maneuver in the cold. Whether or not they thaw to become mobile again has yet to be seen.
  5. TWD Rewards. This week, the code “THEFAIR” will get fans 200 points toward some great The Walking Dead physical rewards, digital prizes, and experiences. In addition, 200 more points can be earned by using the code “SNOW” airing during Talking Dead! If you aren’t already signed up for TWD Rewards, DO SO HERE!
  6. Kingtop is way better than Hilldom. I can see why Jerry likes the term “Kingtop”. It’s a nice blend of the Kingdom and the Hilltop. Plus, “Hilldom” sounds like it’s got “dumb” in it. And nobody really wants to be part of anything dumb on purpose, right?
