After last week’s chilling episode of The Walking Dead, the group has a new battle in the season 9 finale. Here’s your recap of “The Storm.”

This week’s episode of The Walking Dead begins with a radio. King Ezekiel’s voice rings out, saying that the Kingdom finally broke and they can’t fix it. And “things fall apart.” Cold and fire and rot tore the Kingdom apart.

While he talks, we see him in bed dealing with depression while Carol is there dealing with her own depression. He says in narration that they need help.

Daryl brings food to Lydia and tells her that she needs to eat so that they can help get to Hilltop.

Ezekiel says they’ll never forget the magic and love. Meanwhile we see Carol putting all of Henry’s pictures and belongings into a box. She wipes a tear away.

The King rolls up the charter and blows out the candle.

Next we see Michonne and Aaron leading the people out of the Kingdom. Yumiko and Magna are there. Ezekiel and Carol watch as Daryl and Lydia walk out last, then together they close the gates and get onto their horses, riding away from the scene. Ezekiel takes one look back and his narration says they must be valiant together.

Cue the credits, here we go.
