The caravan moves along the rode. Michonne tells Yumiko that no one can agree on what to do next. Yumiko says that Hilltop hasn’t heard back from Maggie even though they sent another letter. Lydia looks up and sees walkers in the field, and Alden asks if they’re her people and if they are going to come after them even though they played by the Whisperers’ rules. Daryl shuts him down, and he says that they shouldn’t talk to her like that. She doesn’t want to cause problems, but he says it’s their problem, not hers.

Daryl catches up to Carol and tells her that Henry wanted Lydia there when no one else did. He says she’s a good kid, but every time Carol looks at him she sees Henry. He asks what she sees when she looks at him. “I see you.”

Ezekiel looks back and sees Carol talking to Daryl. Jerry rides up and says that the barometer is dropping quickly, signalling that a storm is coming. They need to make it to the next outpost.

Rosita, who is much more pregnant now, tells Gabriel that the heaters are dead. Gabriel says they can keep themselves warm, but she says the “peanut” is listening. Eugene comes in and says that they need to go to the buildings with the best heat source and ride it out. Gabriel points out that they can’t leave Negan behind.

Daryl and Carol shoot walkers on the side of the road. Lydia watches as Ezekiel follows Daryl to fetch his arrow. He urges them to keep going. Lydia walks away, unseen.

Daryl retrieves his arrow. Ezekiel asks what Daryl’s plans are. He knows the past few months have been rough for their marriage and he wants a fresh start at Hilltop. It would be better if Daryl wasn’t there. Daryl asks if that’s what Carol wants, but Ezekiel says they want their son back. After all they have lost, Ezekiel says, can Daryl give him that? Daryl, saying nothing, walks away.

The snow really starts to fall. It’s covering the ground already.
