The storm is raging in Alexandria with frightening intensity. Judith hears Dog barking and she runs from the line that is keeping them from getting separated. Negan sees her and runs after her, calling her name.

Ezekiel calls for a stop while they survey the area ahead. Visibility is nil but they can make out walkers standing there. They’re frozen in place, alive but unable to move. Michonne chops off their heads, and they shatter. They arrive at the river and Daryl and Michonne go out to check the ice. The rest of the group waits to see if they can pass. The ice seems solid enough. Lydia disappears again. Ezekiel tells Jerry to watch the borders, and Daryl notices that Lydia is missing. Carol offers to go get her while they start crossing.

Suddenly walkers start coming out of the snow banks, grabbing at ankles. They fight them off and guide the people across, warning them not to go too fast or to have too many people at once. Alden asks if it’s the Whisperers. It’s not. We see Jerry, Nabila and their kids on the other side.

Carol finds Lydia in a shed. She wants to know what Lydia is doing. Lydia says that she can’t cross the river because what’s at Hilltop is the same thing they already have. She knows that no one wants her around. Henry is dead because of her. Henry said she was a good person, but he was wrong. The Whisperers will never stop. Lydia says the only way to stop it, and that’s for Carol to kill her. No one needs to know.

Daryl faces two walkers at once. He uses an icicle to stab one in the head.
