The Walking Dead music composer to lend talents to Child’s Play film
By Adam Carlson
Bear McCreary, the man responsible for the score of AMC’s The Walking Dead, will be composing the music for the upcoming movie Child’s Play.
There is always something to talk about when it comes to The Walking Dead. Whether it is a shocking death, a new character arrival, or terrifying zombies, the show is constantly keeping viewers on the edge of their seats while watching.
One reason the tension and excitement are always at a high level has to do with the music from the popular AMC survival drama series where the score is created by Bear McCreary and pairs well with the horrifying things happening on the screen.
With amazing credits to his name such as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Outlander, God of War, Black Sails, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Eureka, Battlestar Galactica, and many other credits on his resume, it’s not shocking to see the upcoming Child’s Play film tap him for his services.
Here is the announcement of McCreary’s involvement in the film along with a sample of what to expect from the Jun. 21 film from the official Twitter account of Child’s Play:

The video featuring McCreary playing some great atmospheric music while looking at many musical instruments was a lot of fun. And, considering the success and charm the Child’s Play franchise brings to the table, there is a great chance this movie could be a fantastic success.
Child’s play will star Aubrey Plaza as a mother named Karen with her son Andy (played by Gabriel Bateman). It will also feature the voice of Star Wars actor Mark Hamill to voice the possessed doll given to Andy as a gift.
With The Walking Dead composer Bear McCreary now attached to the project and an already talented cast in place, fans won’t want to miss Child’s Play when it hits theatres on Jun. 21.
