Glenn

Glenn had some close calls over the years, and everyone knows how his story on The Walking Dead ends. But there was a close call before that point, back in season 6 when Nicholas decided to take his own life.

The dumpster incident is one that will always be a memorable moment for The Walking Dead fans. Nicholas killed himself on top of the dumpster surrounded by walkers. Glenn fell to the ground with Nicholas’ body on top of him, and while the walkers tore the body apart Glenn managed to sneak under the dumpster until they leave.

For a moment it truly looked like Glenn was gone, and the outpouring of grief was so strong that it’s hard to imagine that he would lose his life at the start of season 7.

Nick Clark

Fear the Walking Dead began with Nick Clark overdosing on drugs and discovering a walker before the apocalypse got started. Nick escaped death in that moment because he certainly could have died, but it just so happened that his drug abuse is what gave him insight into the whole apocalypse. He was seeing things happening all around him and though no one believed him, he was the one who knew it was time to leave. Chalk it up to a drug abuser’s paranoia, or Nick’s own survival instinct, but the oldest Clark sibling knew that it was time to get out of town.
