Fear the Walking Dead season 5: Meet the new kids on the block

The apocalypse is going to the kids as Fear the Walking Dead announces the names of the youngsters who will be signing on in season 5.

The season premiere of Fear the Walking Dead is just over a month away but we’re learning more about some of the new faces we saw in the trailer that debuted during WonderCon. The Skybound Walking Dead site released the names and biographies of three of the youngsters joining the series in season 5.

Bailey Gavulic will play Annie on the show. Annie is believed to be a youngster on the show Gavulic is 21 years old and has appeared in quite a number of projects including Prodigal and At The End Of The Day. She posted a message on her Instagram account announcing news of her casting, noting that she’s “excited to finally announce that [she’ll] be joining the Fear the Walking Dead Universe as Annie!”

Next up is 15 year-old Ethan Suess who will play Max. Suess has appeared on Scorpion and Nickelodeon’s Henry Danger, and he also posted news of his casting on Instagram: “I’ve had to keep it a secret for a while now…but I can finally announce that my character, Max, will be joining the Fear the Walking Dead Universe!”

The third new face of season 5 is the younger brother of another member of The Walking Dead Family. Cooper Dodson, the 13 year-old actor who will play Dylan on Fear the Walking Dead, is the younger brother of Major Dodson, aka Sam, who appeared on The Walking Dead in season 6. (Everyone raise a cookie in Sam’s memory…) Cooper might look familiar to fans of American Horror Story Cult, where he played the adorable, Twisty the Clown-loving Oz Mayfair-Richards. Cooper posted a message on his Instagram account about the big news, with Major adding “Thrilled to share that my little bro has joined the #TWDFamily!!”

Fear the Walking Dead season 5 looks to be bigger and bolder than previous seasons, with planes, nuclear walkers and lots of new faces joining the apocalyptic fun.
