Known for playing Jacqui on AMC’s The Walking Dead, actress Jeryl Prescott looks to have a major role in the upcoming Swamp Thing television series.

Despite only being on The Walking Dead for a short period of time, Jeryl Prescott seems to have landed on her feet and found a major role in the upcoming Swamp Thing television series coming to DC Universe.

Prescott portrayed the character Jacqui on The Walking Dead, a survivor who made a tough choice when faced with a future filled with the undead being around every corner and constant fighting for survival.

She returns to a world of horror with Swamp Thing, which is set to premiere on the DC Universe streaming service on May 31.

Recently, a trailer was released for the upcoming show and it featured Prescott in several of the scenes. Check it out as shared on the official YouTube channel of DC:

The character Prescott will be playing is Madame Xanadu, which is described in the following way by DC on their website:

"“Madame Xanadu is a centuries-old sorceress who finds herself reluctantly drawn into battle against the escalating supernatural forces plaguing a small Louisiana town. A blind fortune teller and magical crusader, Xanadu’s heart is in the right place despite her unorthodox methods in the fight against evil.”"

From that description, it sounds as though Madame Xanadu could be teaming up with Swamp Thing to fight against those looking to cause decay or death…or those who rise from the swamp with evil intentions. However, her unconventional methods may keep Swamp Thing from completely working with her.

Either way, the teaser video gives hope that Jeryl Prescott can bring the same kind of intensity to her character on Swamp Thing that she did during her time on The Walking Dead. If so, she will definitely be one to watch on the DC Universe streaming service.
