Jenna Elfman rocks out on Dharma and Greg drum kit

Fear the Walking Dead star Jenna Elfman is a woman of many talents, and in her latest Instagram post she shows that she’s got rhythm.

She’s got rhythm and she’s got music. Fear the Walking Dead star Jenna Elfman couldn’t ask for anything more as she shows off her skills on a drum kit that might be familiar to Dharma and Greg fans.

Dharma & Greg celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2017 (what!?) and fans will remember the time that Bob Dylan jammed with Jenna Elfman’s Dharma in an episode. Elfman posted a video on her Instagram account that shows she hasn’t lost her touch as she keeps the beat alive on the same drum kit she used back when she played with Bob Dylan.

In her post celebrating a Way Back Wednesday moment, Elfman talks about how her sons now practice on the legendary drum kit: “Not as easy as it looks… Always grateful for @gabrielgrinta. Also, this is the drum kit that I played on with Bob Dylan on #dharmaandgreg. Now my sons take lessons on this kit. #sentimental #drums”

Elfman appeared on the Harry Connick Jr. show back in 2017 and talked about how the Bob Dylan moment came to life on Dharma & Greg.

As a lifelong dancer Elfman was used to keeping rhythm and this led her to dabble with the drums. After telling showrunners that she was learning to play in case they wanted to write that into an episode, the showrunners upped the ante when they brought in music legends Bob Dylan and T-Bone Burnett for a jam session. Before long Elfman was playing Traveling Wilburys songs with Bob Dylan and the rest his history.

Fast forward to 2019 and Elfman is now one half of the beloved Fear the Walking Dead power couple of June and John, played by Garret Dillahunt. The season 5 trailer has given fans reason to swoon as their relationship continues to bloom in the middle of the apocalypse, and we’re here for it.
