Josh McDermitt to guest star on The Kids are Alright
The Walking Dead favorites Abraham and Eugene will be together again (sort of) when Josh McDermitt guest stars on The Kids are Alright.
It’s The Walking Dead reunion two seasons in the making as Josh McDermitt guest stars on the Michael Cudlitz hit comedy The Kids are Alright this Tuesday, May 7. Though his role hasn’t been specified, there’s no question that having this duo back together again in a comedy will be a lot of fun!
Cudlitz has been teasing McDermitt’s appearance on social media for a while now. The timing couldn’t be better for such a huge guest star, as ABC has yet to renew the show about an Irish-Catholic family in 1970s America. Ratings have been solid, so there’s every reason to believe that the show will get picked up for season 2.
As you can see, there’s excitement all around:
McDermitt isn’t the only member of the TWD Family to have a cameo on The Kids are Alright. Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron on The Walking Dead, had a small role as the voice of a DJ in the April 16 episode.
This won’t be the only time Cudlitz and McDermitt work with each other this year. Cudlitz directed an episode of The Walking Dead season 9 and he’s set to return to direct in season 10, which means he’ll presumably once again reunite with McDermitt on set. Cudlitz was the second actor from The Walking Dead universe to direct an episode of the show (Colman Domingo was the first to direct an episode of Fear the Walking Dead season 4) but Cudlitz is the first actor from the flagship series to step behind the camera of the original show.
The Kids are Alright airs Tuesday at 8:30pm ET on ABC. Filming for The Walking Dead season 10 begins this month and the show is expected to return in October.
