New Fear The Walking Dead teaser for season 5 released
By Sonya Iryna
A new teaser for the upcoming 5th season of Fear The Walking Dead shows the group doing what they do best- working together.
There’s a new teaser for the Fear The Walking Dead season 5 which kicks off in just a couple of weeks on June 2nd. The teaser starts with Alicia telling someone that they are on their way to help them. There’s also a quick glimpse of the returning Daniel Salazar, which is great to see. Watch the trailer here:
The teaser also shows some pretty adept walker kills showing that the team has recovered enough from the horrors of last season that they are back to operating as a well-coordinated group. Just like in the flagship series The Walking Dead the power of the survivors rests in their ability to work together.
There were some points last season where it wasn’t clear if this group would ever find their rhythm and gel as a group. After losing Nick and Madison Luciana, Alicia, and Victor were at loose ends and not really sure how to move forward.
Deciding to stay in the area and not go to Virginia gave them a purpose and they have been able to strengthen their bonds with Althea, Charlie, Morgan, June, John Dorie, and the twins. Madison and Nick would be proud of their determination to not only fight to survive but to help others survive.
Fear The Walking Dead Season 5
Based on the full length trailer released awhile ago and the teasers that have been released it looks like Fear The Walking Dead has finally managed to find solid footing. It had a rocky start in the early seasons but the changes that were made in season 4 have propelled the story and the remaining characters forward.
Although it was a big hit to the characters to lose Nick and Madison the story is poised to move forward in new and exciting ways. Nick Clark was killed by Charlie in season 4 because actor Frank Dillane wanted to leave the show. Madison Clark, played by Kim Dickens, was ostensibly killed off leading a walker herd away from her kids to save them, although no one’s gone until they’re gone…
Morgan’s inspiration that they would become a sort of traveling squad to find and help strangers is an interesting idea in a world where most people are thinking about hunkering down in whatever type of safety they can find.
The group is now actively putting themselves in harm’s way instead of playing defense and trying to protect their just own group. And chances are good that they’re going to encounter some major problems as a result of that decision to make saving people their reason to keep going.
