Lori is the OG of apocalypse moms. She died giving birth to Judith and asked her son to kill her before she became a walker. That’s pretty intense.

Lori worked hard to keep going after the world collapsed and she was forced to protect her son while wondering if her husband survived. Thankfully (kind of) she had Shane there to comfort her and comfort her he did. That’s where Judith came from, after all. (Who could forget when Lori sent Glenn on his top secret mission to the drug store?)

There’s no question that before the world fell apart she and Rick had a strong marriage and they were providing a loving family for Carl. That’s evident by the way Rick collapsed when she died and the great lengths Carl went to just to find a photo of his mom.

Lori might have been the rock holding her family together, but her legacy lived on in Carl and later in Judith, who inherited her brother’s sense of fairness and justice and will keep those flames alive in their memory.
