Mother’s Day 2019: Celebrating 10 moms in The Walking Dead universe

Of all the moms in The Walking Dead universe, it’s Nabila who might well be the most well-adjusted at this point. She and Jerry have three children together. They have two older kids and a baby and prior to the winter storm at the end of season 9 everything seemed to be going well for them.

Nabila’s relationship with Jerry started at some point during the span of time between All Out War and the start of season 9, and they announced that they were expecting their first child shortly after the communities were divided once Rick disappeared. Nabila and the kids are seen thriving at the fair but the trek through the winter storm is almost too much for them to bear.

What makes Nabila so interesting in this case is that she became a mother during the apocalypse so this is the only version of motherhood she knows. Not only did she become a mother once, but she’s had three children and she’s doing a fine job making the most of an awful situation.
