Watch – Fear the Walking Dead: ‘A Look Inside Season 5’
Fear the Walking Dead is less than two weeks away from the season 5 premiere and the cast offers fans a look at what’s to come.
The cast and crew of Fear the Walking Dead came together to reveal more tantalizing details about the show’s upcoming fifth season. Between planes, a nuclear threat, kids and a few familiar faces there are lots of reasons to look forward to season 5 and “A Look At Season 5” video offers an inside look at what’s yet to come.
The new video is timed to the release of reviews for the upcoming season. The first four episodes reveal the show’s trajectory and it’s intriguing to say the least. There are several stories being juggled at the same time, mostly centered on Morgan’s plan to help people in need. There’s a ripple effect as they set out on one mission and end up doing something completely different, yet still ultimately helpful.
Here’s the video:
Lennie James reveals that the missions are a way to ensure that the apocalypse won’t keep hurting other people. Instead of being reactive, they’re being proactive.
Unfortunately, they’re about to find that it’s not so easy to lend a hand to people in need, no matter how much they might need it. “Helping people in this world is harder than they ever could have imagined,” says showrunner Ian Goldberg.
A great deal of season 5 revolves around redemption, which drives many of these characters toward helping others, but at the same time it’s a reflection of their own personal growth as well. Seeing Alicia Clark talking about her mother’s memory is the perfect example as she Madison’ legacy to guide her purpose in this crazy life.
In the clip there are some pretty intense walker kills and plenty of blood. Of note is the quick shot of the person wearing a radiation suit. We know there are nuclear walkers so it makes sense that someone could be in a suit, but clearly there’s a larger story here that won’t be revealed until the show returns.
Fear the Walking Dead season 5 premieres June 2 at 9pm on AMC.
