Fear The Walking Dead: What’s Althea’s story in season 5?

Althea always finds a good story on Fear The Walking Dead but fans haven’t gotten enough of her story. Will that change in season 5?

Althea’s been a mysterious character since her arrival in season 4 of Fear The Walking Dead. As the chronicler of the apocalypse her tapes hold the stories of survivors that Al has come across in her travels.

Some of her tapes have surprisingly shown familiar faces, like Madison. Other tapes have intriguing titles that could be linked to characters from The Walking Dead or survivors from Fear TWD who have been missing for awhile. Will Daniel show up on one of Althea’s tapes? What about Dwight?

Fans have lots of questions about Althea’s past. She clearly was someone that was used to living in pretty rough and dangerous conditions before the apocalypse so she’s uniquely suited to survival now. Last season she opened up a little bit to June, but she clearly prefers to stay behind the camera and let others tell their stories rather than telling her own.

Althea is one of the most fascinating of the new characters. She’s got a keen insight into human nature that no doubt she developed as a journalist listening to people’s stories and honing in on the humanity of each story. Is there still a place for humanity in the apocalypse world? If there is Althea’s going to be one of the driving forces keeping it alive. What’s coming up in Season 5 for Althea? Althea is still a dark horse in the group. What do you think is on the horizon for Al in season 5 of Fear The Walking Dead?

Sonya says:

"Althea is one of my favorite characters. I love that she has such a devotion to capturing the personal stories of the people who survived and their memories of loved ones and life before the apocalypse. It’s so important to have that. I’m intrigued to know more about her and what or who could be on those tapes of hers we haven’t seen."

Sara says:

"Althea is one of my new favorite characters on the show! I’m so intrigued to learn more about her past as a journalist. I’m also excited to see the new stories she has for us this season. Maybe she will get Daniel and Dwight to share their stories with her!"

Jeffrey says:

"There is always a story to tell in this world. The journalistic instinct to find stories and tell them is always going to be part of Althea’s character. I definitely expect her to continue to push to get more information out of the members of the group, especially Morgan considering how much she wants to know about Shiva. In addition to that, I feel as though she will take on a far more active role in the group’s activities instead of just documenting from the sidelines. While I’m not certain how this will happen, I’m predicting we will hear some more of her own story this season also."
