They arrive at the truck stop, which is home to the gas station and convenience store we saw before. The gate is locked and Alicia looks inside. Logan was supposed to be there, and he was supposed to have been surrounded. But this place is empty and there is no one there, dead or alive. They go inside to investigate and bring Luciana inside. June springs into action to help Luciana, who still has the metal rod in her shoulder, while John goes exploring. Everything is empty, abandoned.

The generators work, and Morgan finds a working radio and calls Logan, telling him that they made it to the truck stop. June asks John to help her find supplies so she can help Luci. John asks if she has ever done anything like this before and she has, at the trauma center, but obviously not in a truck stop.

While they’re all busy, Dylan finds a toy truck on the shelf and asks Luciana what it’s for. She explains that all of this stuff was there thanks to Clayton, and they’re all trying to continue his mission of helping people. “Why would people need toys?” he asks. She tells him that they’re trying to keep his dream alive, by making it something bigger. Dylan asks how that’s possible. Morgan tells him about the denim factory, and John chimes in that they have a movie night. They’re trying to build a place where people can settle down, but they have to keep looking for Logan. This doesn’t sit well with the kids, who run out on them after saying they should leave, too.

June doesn’t have time to argue. They need to help Luci, so the group comes together to hold her down while June pulls the rod out.

Back at the denim factory a man arrives. He looks out at the factory across the river and then goes to the gate. He knows the code for the lock: 3869. He goes inside and finds that it’s stocked but empty. He dons a C+L Trucking hat, finds the boxes of supplies and even the beer brewing setup. There are cots in one big room, and a clipboard of movie requests. Al’s tapes are in another room. He goes through them, seeing Al’s lists of notes on who is still alive, dead or missing.

Back at the truck stop Alicia and Al are securing the fence. Alicia notes that the kids are like everyone else they tried to help, but Al points out that they’re still alive. “For now,” Alicia adds.

June says that Luciana was very lucky and that she’ll make a full recovery. Morgan is trying to raise Logan on the radio. Alicia says that something isn’t right. Logan calls through and says it’s going to be tricky. He’s at the denim factory with his crew, and he’s looking at Morgan’s crew outside.
