There were lots of intense moments in the season premiere of Fear the Walking Dead, but these 5 WTF moments left everyone talking.

“Here to Help” was a season premiere to remember. Season 5 of Fear the Walking Dead started out with a bang – literally – as a plane crash landed in the middle of a nuclear danger zone. There were new people, a shocking betrayal and a familiar face, not to mention a major revelation that could change everything fans know about the world of The Walking Dead.

The season premiere was full of memorable moments, but these five moments were particularly WTF-worthy.

5. The Plane Crash

“Here to Help” started out in the middle of a mission. What we know is that the group was on the way to help a guy named Logan, and that they needed the plane to get up and over some mountains. Al was flying the plane because Strand wasn’t there to fly it, and she crash landed after losing an engine.

The idea of a plane wasn’t a surprise in and of itself, since the plane was heavily featured in the trailer, on the season 5 key art and in the fun teaser the cast made ahead of the premiere.

What made this moment so amazing was the fact that it all managed to happen. Finding a plane in the middle of the apocalypse is one thing, but getting it in the air is impressive.
