3. Logan’s Betrayal

The season premiere was tied to the group’s mission to help a man named Logan. Morgan admitted to Annie that they’d never met Logan in person and that their entire relationship was formed over the radio, but he was the only person who wanted their help. After months and months of not being able to reach anyone (next to Al’s tapes at the denim factory there was a list of how many people were dead or missing or not willing to be helped) finding Logan was something that gave the group purpose.

The fact the group was able to not only find an airplane but to fly it to reach him says everything you need to know about how important these missions are for them.

That’s what makes Logan’s betrayal all the more shocking. Sure, Logan has a claim to the denim factory, and he doesn’t seem to be a horrible person in wanting his stuff back. However, he led the group away and awful things happened as a result and that can’t be ignored. Is he someone who can be reasoned with, or is he the group’s new foe?

Morgan tells Alicia later on that what they’re doing isn’t supposed to be easy. People like Logan don’t make things any easier and the group will do well to keep that in mind before they try to help anyone else.
