Alicia Clark starts season 5 of Fear the Walking Dead in a major way.

Alicia Clark is a tough survivor of the zombie apocalypse and she was taking charge in the season 5 premiere episode of Fear the Walking Dead.
In the season 5 premiere of Fear the Walking Dead, Alicia Clark presents herself to some newbies with the line “It’s ok. We’re here to help”. And, does she ever. She precedes to slaughter numerous walkers with a wicked propeller blade. Hands bloody, with walker guts splattered all over she keeps pressing on. She is so engrossed in her task that she barely misses taking out Morgan.
We have seen her be fairly aggressive in seasons past but I have high hopes for her this season. She is Madison’s daughter after all. She is full of hurt and rage and that comes in handy in the world she lives in.
Taking over the leadership of the group or becoming a co-leader with Morgan by her side could be her calling.
She has come very far from that college-bound girl who lost her boyfriend in season 1. I never expected much from her, especially after she befriended a stranger she met on the radio. But she redeemed herself in the scene on the beach in “Ouroboros” from season 2 made me think there is more to her than meets the eye. She fought bravely and showed she could defend herself. From that point on she was a much more interesting character. Even though gut covered Nick was the hero of that episode!
Alicia also proved that she has a good moral compass. She stands up for things she feels aren’t right even in a world gone wrong. She has even stood up to her mother on occasion. Which says a lot because Madison was a force in her own right.
One thing we learn in this episode is, don’t call her sweetheart! Logan doesn’t know who is messing with. I think with all the rage and hurt Alicia is processing she would take him out no matter how much she feels they need to help others.
Fans are excited to see what this season will bring! Remember to check out 502 of Fear the Walking Dead this Sunday!
