Fear the Walking Dead had an explosive introduction to its fifth season and The Walking Dead similarly had an intense introduction to its season 5 as well. This could mean that Fear the Walking Dead is at a huge turning point in its story.

The season five premiere of Fear the Walking Dead was action-packed and extremely intense. There was so much going on from a plane crash to Luciana getting brutally injured, and even a new group of characters who are a huge tie in with The Walking Dead.

In looking back at The Walking Dead’s season 5 premiere “No Sanctuary”, the group found themselves in a dangerous situation amongst the deadly Terminus group. The episode was similarly very action-packed and started the season out on a huge high note. Season 5 of The Walking Dead was a huge game changer for the show when Aaron was introduced into the story and brought Rick and his group to Alexandria. Alexandria is now the heart of where The Walking Dead  is set in the show, so season 5 really was a bridge in bringing The Walking Dead to a bigger story.

So what exactly does that mean for Fear the Walking Dead? By looking at how season 5 was a good midpoint for The Walking Dead, that could possibly mean that something huge is on the rise for Fear the Walking Dead. The characters and the story could overall be moving to a bigger and more meaningful place in The Walking Dead universe.

In Fear’s season 5 premiere episode “Here to Help”, Althea was captured by a group of people who utilize the same symbol that was on the helicopter that took Rick away in season 9 of The Walking Dead. It’s no surprise that crossovers are anything but foreign in The Walking Dead universe, so this could mean that something big could happen in Fear the Walking Dead this season. It is also very possible that we might see characters from Fear The Walking Dead turn up in another part of The Walking Dead universe.
