8) Dylan notes to Max that Morgan is not a “biter”. This is actually the first time (That we’ve seen, in any event) Morgan hear the term used as a synonym for walkers, as Morgan wasn’t with Rick when the group was dealing with Woodbury who introduced the name. Additionally, this is the first time that term has been used in Fear The Walking Dead.

9) Alicia and Morgan’s use of a tripwire to aid in killing the infected is the first time in either show that such a tactic has been used combat the dead.

10) In another first, as Alicia falls over trying to kill a walker, she notices a sign warning of radiation in the area. This is the first time such a hazard has been addressed in either Walking Dead show.

11) Who, exactly, is the armored walker? Considering his armor looks to be designed expressly to defend against slicing, puncturing, and bites, he’s certainly not just an ordinary survivor.

12) Even with what we learn in the second episode of the season, I have to ask: Do the wounds on Alicia’s hands increase her risk of radiation exposure or contamination? If so, will this play out later in the season?

13) Morgan going out of his way to help a person he’s only spoken to over the radio (And, ultimately, getting the group in trouble) is very similar to Alicia doing the same in the beginning of Season Two, where she ended up causing the group to get attacked by pirates after Alicia revealed a little too much information to her radio friend, Jack. Additionally, it seems like Morgan is trying to ensure that what happened to him when Rick fell out of communication with him doesn’t happen to Logan.
