Fear the Walking Dead, The Hurt that Will Happen: Things To Note

1) As Strand walks to Daniel’s base, we see a billboard for “Millie Mattresses” which implies that Daniel’s base is somewhere in or near El Paso, Texas.
2) Daniel’s speed bump/spikes combo is the second “trip-and-kill” trap we’ve seen in as many episodes, following Alicia and Morgan’s tripwire strategy in the previous episode. It’s nice to see people be efficient…finally.
3) Is Daniel alone? He later tells Strand he “inherited” the vehicles from someone, but, doesn’t go into specifics. Other than that, we neither see nor hear hide nor hair of anyone else, except for Skidmark, of course.
4) While we’ve met horses and dogs, Skidmark might be the first named cat we’ve met on either Walking Dead show.
5) The title sequence shows a pair of infected reaching up at a crow trapped in a cage in a tree.
6) Alicia giving herself the role of security in the group is reminiscent of Michonne becoming Head of Security for Alexandria after the time-jump in Season 9 of The Walking Dead.
