Kim Dickens is a woman on a mission and not even her birthday can slow her down from working on one of her many new projects.

It’s Kim Dickens’ birthday and the hard-working Fear the Walking Dead alum is hard at work on one of her many projects despite it being her big day. Dickens posted a picture on her Instagram account noting that it’s her birthday and she’s stuck at “werk” on her new project for the USA Network.

Dickens will star in USA’s upcoming anthology series Briarpatch, which was ordered to series back in January 2019. Briarpatch also stars Rosario Dawson in a story about the sordid affairs of a small border town.

While it might be her birthday, she’s clearly having fun on set of her new project. And can we all agree that Dickens is at her best in western settings? Not only that, but Briarpatch isn’t the first time Dickens has played a member of law enforcement, as she played a detective in the hit movie Gone Girl.

Naturally, Dickens’ comments section is full of well-wishes from her former Fear the Walking Dead castmates who sent their love to their dear friend:

Garret Dillahunt: “S**t! Happy birthday, birthday girl! Love you.”

Danay Garcia: “Happy birthday!”

Colman Domingo: “Happy birthday my love”

Fear the Walking Dead has been honoring Madison’s legacy since the Clark family matriarch died tragically in season 4. Her daughter Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) has been following in her mother’s footsteps as she and the rest of the group tries to help people who need it. Though she isn’t around anymore there’s no question that Madison left her mark on her daughter, on Strand and on Luciana, and her impact will continue to guide the group – and the show – as time goes on.

There’s no timeline on Briarpatch’s debut at this point, but in the meantime Kim Dickens fans can see her in the recently-debuted Deadwood movie currently airing on HBO.
