14. Lydia’s Fate

There’s no denying that Lydia’s future hangs in the balance in season 10. So long as she’s alive she’s always going to be a target for the Whisperers no matter how much Alpha tries to deny it. Alpha is likely counting on Lydia being banished from her new community but after Carol stopped the girl from killing herself, Lydia has a whole new reason to live. In fact, at the end of  season 9 we saw her laughing and playing in the snow like the child she really is.

Despite the horrible things that happened to her while she was with the Whisperers, and even after losing Henry, Lydia is showing how resilient she is and there’s no way that’s going to sit well with Alpha. Hopefully the trailer will show how things have been for Lydia in the months after the snow melted.

13. Lauren Cohan’s Return

AMC and The Walking Dead showrunners left the door open for Lauren Cohan’s return in season 10. With things looking bleak for Hilltop after the harsh winter, coupled with plans for Danai Gurira to leave the show, there’s no better time for Maggie Rhee to return. Not only do we want to see Maggie again, but who can resist seeing almost 8-year old Hershel?

At this point it’s unclear how long Lauren Cohan will stick around The Walking Dead, so it will either be a guest starring role or she might return for a longer period of time. With Danai Gurira leaving, that open door is swinging even wider for Cohan to come back.

12. Hilltop’s Future

When Ezekiel and his people arrived at the Hilltop things didn’t look great. Though the storm was raging outside it was pretty clear that no one was around. The Hilltoppers could have fled to Alexandria to ride out the storm, or perhaps they traveled to Oceanside, or they could have been there and we just didn’t see them. Either way, we need to see what has happened with Alexandria.
