Fear the Walking Dead 504 recap: Skidmark

Morgan finds a bird trap. There’s a walker there, and he checks it for a dosimeter before killing it. He calls Luciana and says there’s nothing there. They’re going to keep looking but then Dylan gets on the radio to direct them to where his brother and sister are. Morgan doesn’t understand why he lied about them being dead, but Dylan begs them to go help.

Back at the road, Annie thinks that they helicopter people are gone. They step into the open and one of the walkers breaks loose, landing on Annie. Max pulls her away. She loses her gun as they flee the scene.

Charlie calls the warehouse to say she’s ok. Strand wants to know where the instruments are and Salazar laughs at the idea of leaving them where Strand could find them. They’re in the car with them. Strand asks him to bring them back, and Salazar says they are coming back with a herd behind them. He wants them to watch for them and they will take care of them together.

Sarah reports that there’s a problem with that plan: She made a huge hole in the fence while trying to get the plane out. Salazar laughs bitterly, telling Charlie that he vowed not to hurt her and yet by luring the herd back to the warehouse he’s putting her in danger. He stops the car and asks if she knows how to drive. “Kind of,” she says. He tells her to take the car and the instruments back to the warehouse so they can help their friends. He’ll take care of the walkers the same way she did: With music. He turns on the radio and starts leading them away while she drives away. Charlie watches him in the mirror as she drives away.
