The Trailer and Season 10 Premiere Date

The SDCC panel is traditionally the place where The Walking Dead showrunners reveal the trailer for the upcoming season along with the season premiere date. It’s also where casting announcements are made, along with other bits of breaking news.

While it’s unconfirmed as of this writing, we can expect that The Walking Dead season 10 will return in early October. It would make sense for the show to return on October 6, which would once again coincide with New York Comic Con. That’s what happened in 2018 when the cast and crew showed up at NYCC and attended a presentation at PaleyFest NY in conjunction with the show’s red carpet premiere.

We’ve talked before about what we want to see in the season 10 trailer. After all that happened in the second half of season 9, the trailer will be a chance to see where the characters are after the season 9 finale. The snow will likely be melted, but the threat of the Whisperers will still loom large over the remaining communities.

Season 10 could be the biggest season in the show’s history, so no matter what happens fans can expect some big surprises from the SDCC panel in 2019!
