The Movies?

Can we expect to learn more about the Rick Grimes movies at SDCC 2019? It’s possible. In fact, between SDCC and NYCC it makes more sense to have a big announcement in San Diego because NYCC is usually focused on the show’s premiere. With the recent arrival of the helicopter people in Fear the Walking Dead, it seems like a foregone conclusion that we’ll soon see some news about the Rick Grimes movies soon enough.

SDCC would be the perfect venue to announce a timeline for the movies, or at the very least more details about when they will be released. SDCC will coincide with the mid-season finale of Fear the Walking Dead, and by then fans might know more about the mysterious armored soldiers and their helicopter. Why not take the opportunity to build excitement for the Fear the Walking Dead mid-season finale while also creating a buzz about the movies?

San Diego Comic-Con takes place July 17-21 and based on previous years’ schedules The Walking Dead panel will likely take place on the Friday of the convention weekend, which means fans should pencil it in for July 19.
