5. Exploring more of his character

Daryl is a bit of an anomaly. He doesn’t show romantic interest in any other character and he’s slow to form bonds with characters unless something develops organically through events surrounding him.

There were times it looked like Daryl’s past would be explored. His times with Merle and picking up a book on abuse at the library opened the door for Daryl to become a more complete character, but those were never really explored.

Perhaps AMC is keeping Daryl’s past and emotions a bit of a mystery on purpose in hopes it will make him an enigma to viewers, but it would be nice to know a little more about what pushes Daryl and causes him to be so impulsive and aggressive.

For all the action fans have seen from Daryl, he is rarely involved in any highly emotional scenes unless he is there to comfort someone else in their time of need. It would be nice to see Daryl be the one opening up in season 10.
